I made a list last night of about 14 players, hoping to land a couple of them in the first round. I'm guaranteed to land 4, so I'm pretty happy about that. We're moving along at a good pace.
Happy to get Clark. I had Toiguchi set to go, but he was picked, and honestly i'm glad he wasnt there. I wanted him, but wasnt exactly sold on him, you know?
Gonna have to start a new list tonight for the next couple of rounds, but I still have a few guys left that I'm surprised are still there.
Thanks. He was the last hitter left at a certain grade level we had. Plus we need more OF. I like that a lot of people went after pitchers in the draft. It was one luxury we have this year not needed pitching prospects.

Yeah, I strongly considered him at #11 but decided to go pitching as well since I have none in my minors.
Jed Lewis was the other SP I was looking at but went with Suarez because he is closer to the majors according to my scouts.
Looking back at my trade with Syracuse last year, I have to say I'm very happy.

I was hesitant to, but passed on Lewis at 16 for Lopez. I was hoping to grab him at 20. If not, I was going with Esquivel. Still, despite being young at 1B, we went with what we thought was the best available hitter remaining on the board in Knegt.

I had Knegt on my big board for #24. Solid pick. I hate taking 1B, especially early, but I think he has legit power.

I like Toselli's Contact, Gap and Avoid K's. I had him as one of the top contact hitters in the draft. A bit below average power, but some pop. Wish he was a bit faster on the bases.
