If you release a player, it charges his entire remaining salary immediately. So he'd go into the red quite a bit.

      • Usually it's cool... "The Skull"... "Rock and Roll".... but then sometimes you end up with a kick ass closer with an intimidating nickname like "Eager Beaver"

        To many rings to count...

But so what? I don't think that would actually hurt anything and he could use the roster spot for someone who could probably hit more than .063.

While i decide what to do with the Stafford cancer, pick just in.

Baltimore selects 18 yr old, Canadian, Joe Sexton.

            • Not a bad pick at all here prez. He's a perfect classic Bulldog. Swing for the fences baby!

I thought about him. Probably the best pure power in the draft. Just would like to see his contact/avoid K's little higher. But he could hit 50 some day.

              • Why does Maine have all of those picks in rounds 2/4?

Sandwhich round. Don't worry about it. It's a placeholder except for the first one where he actually does have a pick.

Well as much as I don't want to admit it, Nick Latham is 37 years old and not getting any younger. I was comparing my batting potential in the minors to some of you guys and I just don't have much power in the bigs or minors. Contrary to popular belief, my pitching is solid with a 1 or 2 guys who will be ready to carry the load in 85 or 86. I just dion't think I have the bats to give them some cushion to go out there and sling it without too many worries.
