  • Of course this is pure luck... but Owen Gilbertson, my starting LF was the first pick in the 15th round of the 81 draft. Kid has done nothing but hit since then.

He's a doubles machine. Also one of those players that outplays his ratings every year.

    • Happy accidents and still happy! Don't get me wrong... I'm far prouder of the early picks that I hit (which aren't often)... but I like doing well in the middle rounds.

On the draft, "Dirty" Sanchez that just went to the Guides could be a really nice player. I had him as the best bat left and probably could have gone at least 1 full round ago. Good pick

      • I would have picked him at #4 of the current round but I couldn't find him in the player list to draft... so I thought he had already been taken.

                    • I'm still getting some guys that my top two hitting scouts like, but i'm interested to see how they actually play/progress. All of the guys they liked last year have turned to crap, with the exception of Knight, and he missed most of last year.

Yeah, I think that is where we are all at. There are prospects all my guys agree on still, but they are nothing special. Then there are the guys that two guys like, and the rest hate.

                            • Alright dbags, I'm out for a week. Loading up the utility and throwing it on auto. If guys run out, just pick the gayest name for me. If airports have free wireless, I'll try and get some last minute export changes in today, but evidentally after that I have to be computer free on the trip...... Take care and see you guys in a week.
