I actually had a one year offer out to Stiver for a little over 8 per. I withdrew it, thinking there's no way he'd accept it. He signs a 3 year deal for over 7 per. Nice signing, though I don't like the length.
Damn man. I feel bad for some teams with those injuries....
But this one might go down as the best ever:
"Wacky things do happen and one just did to Denver's reliever Brian Glenurquhay. He won't be playing baseball for at least 2 weeks after suffering a concussion, which happened when he collided with a parked car while drunk."
Wilmington Wildcats- 2057- Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041 Washington Bats - 1979-2013
Hartford Whalers: B. Larnin was injured when he got into a fight with the bouncer at a local club. The Diagnosis: swollen ear. This is a day-to-day injury expected to last 6 days.
California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013 Brewmaster's Cups: 1987 Import League Champions: 1987, 1989
Porter Division Champions: 1986, 1987, 1989, 1999, 2000 Import League Wild Card: 2001, 2003, 2004
this is why i limit the playing time of my starters in ST. i've got a couple injuries, but nothing major. mahoney got hit hard, sorry bro. never too late to be thinking about the 1st pick in the 1985 draft
Wow... just noticed my Danny Nelson injury was once again the day-to-day into OUT in mid-sim. OOTP needs to do something about that. There needs to be a setting to sit guys who are day-to-day without intervention. This is easily the 10th time this has happend to me since 79
I'm shutting Aurillo down for the rest of the spring. No way I'm taking any chances here.
any idea if ootp takes into account pitchers/batters not getting in their reps during ST? slow starts, out of shape, etc? i assume it does, which is why i put my best pitchers on counts and give my other starts just enough ab's to get in the groove.
Ugh, Nakano gets a fractured cheekbone and then his ratings drop a little bit. Injuries have ruined my team two years in a row. It's getting a little depressing :(
Not much has gone right for my squad. Deel is out for two weeks as well. I have two backup 1B so hopefully they'll be able to fill the void.
Just once I want to see one of my players see a talent/ratings increase...

I believe Andrew said that OOTP does have "rust" or whatever.
