And, no, I'm not high on the guy... quite the opposite... but you are... so I know he's going to get more opportunities than other guys thus making him one to watch.

I'm guilty of the same thing. Yan Van Den Adel Stan Can should not have a job right now... but I used a Expansion Protection spot on the guy because you "fall in love" with certain players... like you have with Grounds. You always go back to that AS game like people always use that Vick win at Lambeau and ignore the rest of the resume.
Dude. He is a former All-Star....Yeah, you are right. I do go back to that a lot.

But he is on the rise:
    1982: .270 avg, .655 OPS
    1983: .242 avg, .666 OPS
    1984: .263 avg, .741 OPS

That .741 is good for #3 OPS for all IL second basemen. Behind Harcourt (5 errors) and Berose (7 errors). Grounds is probably going to win the Glove Wizard award at 2B. I'll take it.

You're making my point on why he was notable to watch... look at the fall off from 82 to 83.... it has gone the right direction so far this season... that's notable.

Damn, I feel like an idiot. All this time I thought "24 in 84" was referring to the extra guys Diesel was carrying in his minors.

            Very un-Linty like.

You seem to have gotten over your "nice to be nice" phase and have added a bit of an edge. I like the new Linty...

For Los Alamos, I'm picking Grant Calver's horse.

Fall off from 82 to 83? I'm a big believer of OPS. He was getting walked more, cut down on his strikeouts, and was getting more XBH.

He got a green name, and now he is all cocky. Thats what you do on these forums when you get a colored name...

Probably would of just done your logo change.

HAHA! One of my favorite injuries of all-time. Not quite pick-up truck level.

...and missed two months of the season.

That is the one thing that does scare me. 2 week injury in 1981 (finger). 2 week injury in 1981 (back). 2 Month injury in 1983 (arm). 2 week injury 1984 (arm).

Four upper-body injuries in just over three seasons...not good. And how the fuck does a 2nd basemen get a dead arm injury? Is that throw really that hard to make?

I'd like to laugh but the imprint of the hoof is still imbedded in his ass so the sting is still fresh. Stupid idiot! The guy's from Minnesota and he tries to ride a horse because he wants to "fit in" in New Mexico. Idiot...

Funnily enough this is the second horse related injury the year. McKain from Washington got hurt falling off his horse. Some other notables are the fat baby, getting into a fight with the bouncer at a local club and colliding with a parked car while drunk. Whadda league!

Unfortunately I couldn't blow this photo up large enough... but in small print it says,

From one juicer to another, take it from me; throwing to first base is no easy task.

                          Best regards, and happy cycling.

                            Hey...

If R.A. Grounds put up Chuck Knoblauch type numbers, I would be very, very happy.

Diesel, you better hope Clay doesn't put Grounds on the cover of SI or an EA game or he really will be doomed.

You can go ahead and thank me for that, since he was a manager pick that year. Keep that in mind when you're making your picks this season...
