Wow, we got LaRochelle with a cheaper contract than we had offered earlier this offseason. I think I'm happy, but the way everyone here has been talking, maybe I shouldn't be.

I got some really weird messages this sim. One said that my fans were happy that I'd signed Toby Rochester and fan interest increased. Another indicated that Wilmington signed Kelly Carpenter but he's still on Pittsburgh.

You can have him if you take his 24mil salary with him.

Yeah. Messages were all screwed up. Wondering if it repeated some numbers because it called up some old, old ones. And got no assessments back on the draft pool.

I might have forgotten to change the number of days to include messages from. I can re-upload the league file later this morning.

Yeah I got the weird one's as well.

              Plus no draft class assessment.

Scouts did go out though. Gotta say... early glance... much better class than it appeared with SISA only.

By my patented and still experimental "Shaver-Metric010 v3.1", I have 11 batters who score out higher than 7.00 with two actually reaching north of 8.00. Impressive.

Well, since NEWS was screwed... the two biggest signings were the prize of the hitters and pitchers both inking...

                  LaRochelle to Syracuse

Hiraki to Indy (I called it)

                    Just posting to myself today....

So is that the schedule? I like it. I love that there are days that not all teams are off. Really, really strong.

If it's correct, I get to break Batavia's cherry. Or... they get to get their first W against me more accurately.

Yes, the schedule is now correct. Much better than the previous two seasons.

I have no idea what the Metric you use looks like, but it sounds interesting. I haven't checked the file yet, but the SISA ratings weren't encouraging for this class.

As usual, I'll be spending way too much time looking at the class, making spreadsheets, analyzing the numbers and then picking a bunch of busts.

Hooray for interleague play! Looks like we got paired up with the Lager Division, should be interesting.

We also start the season with a 9 game road trip.

I've been working on these "formulas" for 3 season now and, while I can't prove anything, I think I'm hitting more than I'm missing finally. I also seem to be unearthing more servicable players in the 5th - 10th Round. Not necessarily Top 100 guys (although I've had them), but guys who will have a shot.

Stout drew the Ale. Should be fun. Hartford and Pawtucket are kind of the Virginia's of the DL (with Dallas) and Maine is always a good measuring stick. Will be fun to play Pitt too. We've done some deals in the past and I like that team. Another good measuring stick.

Yeah... I spend 18 (of 26) on the Road in April. Brutal stretch that includes a 12 game roundtrip that takes me to Davenport, Washington, Wilmington and my first ever 4-game series with the Mohawks. I have another 12 game trip later in the season as well... but a couple nice homestands to balance it out including one around the All Star break and a nice run to end the season.

Speaking of which... I love how this schedule plays out. I love how the last 10 games for everyone are all in the division and without off-days. Could make some awesome, awesome last 10 day races.

                            Good choice, Andrew.

We got the Pilsner. They are now licking their chops.

Interesting way for Cali to end the year. 14 game home stand followed by a 10 game road trip to close it out.
