I've made the mistake of relying on one scout too many times in the last two drafts- thus, most of my picks have been terrible. I've learned my lesson

Keep in mind, this is the first round, each round is different depending on trades and stuff. But, you get the idea of the base order.

If you sign players they'll have 30 days left on their DFA so it won't expire during this sim. You just need to make sure to move them off your DFA because it will expire during the next sim.

Only got to take a quick glance at the Draft Pool, but I was not impressed. Hopefully things look up when the Scouts come back, but I sure didn't see a Rex Knight, Nate Magness or Denver Brode.

Well... maybe Sasaki... he looks pretty good by SISA. He's definately be a good arm for an expansion team. He can even hit a little.

I assume he slides in for Porter in your starting lineup, but Porter was one of the only speed guys you had. Do you have someone coming up to take that leadoff spot?

Alan Starr signs with B'More for under $700k just a year removed from his STARTER spot in the ASG. Funny.

I'd gladly have taken him back if he had shown any resemblance of that player from '82. He was a nobody before '82, and he went back to being a nobody after '82.

Then again it seems my entire team was in a funk last year... maybe he'll return to all-star form in Baltimore.

He also benefitted from a weak crop of Catcher's in the IL that year... but, you're right, that was a huge fall off from 82 to 83

Since I've been Staffordized, he's cleared waivers so he's no longer on my 40-man roster, right? But he refuses to play in the minors, so where is he? I see him on my overall roster but not on any team.

He's in your waivers list. But you have to put him somewhere before Sunday, either cut him or put him back on the 25 and 40 man. Can't leave him in the DFA... and you can't really cut him with that type of contract. SO, unfortunately for you, he's probably going to have to go back to your bench.

He's on Waivers, you have to put him on the Active Roster (if he's refusing a Minor League assignment) or release him outright (which is going to cost you the remainder of his contract).

                              I'd actually do it for a 4th.

Releasing him outright would put you pretty far in the hole. Unless your team has a great year, it looks like you're going to be in the hole after this season anyways because your payroll is over the luxury tax threshold ($90 mil) by quite a bit.
