  • Los Lunas makes first trade, what do you think?

Hey, guys, today I made my first trade in the league. I wonder what you guys think of this deal?

The main reason I'm asking, is because it would be interesting to see what the different scouts in the league think of the players involved.

Terrible. I hope he breaks his leg and in a fit of anger, breaks the legs of your entire starting staff. but I'm a bit biased :D

      HA!

You know, I'm not surprised that those comments came from a team with a SOCCER ball in their logo.

Looks pretty good. Prymont has someupside. If you pick low this year in the draft then it's about even. Although defensively he could be a liability.

Pyrmont definitely has some upside according to my scouts. Not sure about a LH throwing SS though. Seems like he could use a change of position to somewhere he can't do as much damage in the field, or possibly make him a DH.

Pyrmont looks like he could be a solid player, for some reason my scouts kind of disagree on him a little bit. But like you said, he's almost ready for the BLB. I'm not so sure I'd have given up a first round pick, but he's a solid prospect.

I also made my first trade yesterday, we'll see how that works out. I know some have given opinions on that, but anybody else like to give their thoughts on the Reyes deal?

The first round pick was definetely a bone of contention, but, in the end the scouts won out. I wouldn't have done it if I had a higher pick (at least I'm telling myself that).

I think the Reyes deal is hard to judge right now, because of his age and the age of the pitcher you got in return. IF Reyes bombs or retires in a year or two AND your players develop and produce, then I think you've won. But, with that kind of deal, it could go either way.

Personally, I think it was a pretty even trade.

Pyrmont was blocked in the big leagues by my 27 SS, and I have two other minor league SS who have shown a lot of promise. Plus, Pyrmont is left handed, and is poor at fielding, so if he changed positions, it would have to be 1B or OF, which I am stacked at in terms of young talent. He really didn't have a place on my team. If I had a DH spot, thats another story.

As for Gerpe, he was just a throw-in.

Now with the 14th and 18th picks, I think I can get some good young talent in the first round.
