LaRochelle is another guy who pulled a Joe Ponte. Shame.

It may be over now, but it was a magical run for Ponte while it lasted.

You should write that Ponte pulled a LaRochelle. LaRochelle went 63-17 from 1978-80 before becoming an average starter, while Ponte went 56-20 from 1979-1981 before losing his skills.

Credit needs to be applied where credit is due. I was the first to burn out a young arm from overuse.

You should probably worry about being better than California and Virginia before giving out that advice.

I'm personally glad they both burnt out.

                            That's a good discussion topic.....

What 20-game winner will be the next BLB SP to "burn out"?

                                I'm going McEvoy.

He's got two HUGE strikes against him.... he throws over 250 innings almost every year... and he's in the Bock.
