I don't see the big deal in signing a bunch of minor leaguers right now. I have a good number of offers out for them as well. If it turns out I can't use the players, then they'll be released and the rest of the league will get another shot at them. Of course, if people really were that interested, they'd be offering now.

My minor leagues haven't been competitive and haven't been producing prospects, so I need to shake things up.

You do have to admit that it looks shady that you're loading up on minor league FAs right before the rescout. Whether that was your intention or not, it doesn't look good from where we're standing.

I don't usually get in on these wonderful discussions, but I gotta admit I don't mind it. He has to cut down to 30 per league just like the rest of us, so if he's pulling in more prospects to upgrade his minors, regardless if it's an expansion year or not, how can you blame him? Hell I'm trying to get some as well. If we didn't want that to happen then we should allow expansion teams a chance to sign X number of minor league contracts before it opens up to the rest of the teams. Sucky for the new teams? Sure. Shady? Nah........

Me too man. It seemed like most of the minor league guys I tried to sign were entertaining offers from Washington. Its all good though.

I haven't imported yet but I made a bunch (about 15 offers) since I only had 9 guys on my AA team. So I expect to be signing 20+ minor leaguers this offseason to fill-up AA and a couple spots in AAA.
