I'm really liking the makeup of my organization. We have a young offensive team in the BLB, and have a couple more good bats on the way. The farm is getting pretty full with nice pitching prospects at all levels.

I am not feeling confident in my BLB club. My pitching is #1 in the IL. I expect it to be a little better the rest of the way because of a few players underachieving. But I'm not so sure if my team will score enough runs down the stretch to be a contender. I could really use an upgrade in the OF. It might have to come from Triple-A.

I'd just like to mention that I hate you bastards.... easily my best season... not even close. Harcourt leads the IL in almost every offensive category.... Nelson is having a nice season.... the young guys (Poling, Tracy and O'Hegarty) are hitting... Hamlet has been a good acquistion....

Magness leads the BLB in Wins... I'm getting more than I expected out of Arrendondo and Barrerra.... Carlton has been a rock....

BUT YOU MINKY FINKIES STILL HAVE MY ASS IN LAST PLACE IN THIS STUPID AS DIVISION!!!! I HATE YOU ALL!!! I HATE YOUR TEAMS!!!

So, are we going to debate out a 1985 All-Stout Team this season. I think it could be fun.

Why don't we do.... each position obviously (let's go Top 3 OF regardless of position)... a RH and LH SP... a RH and LH Reliever.... and a Closer.... I'd say go with whatever criteria you want... straight stats... value to team.... whatever..... Thoughts?

                      ***

I think there are some "No-Brainers" here but a few solid debates to be had....

I think the only two absolute "undebatable" locks are Campo (OF) and Harcourt (2B).

                        OK... my first take....

                        C - Harry Elliot (WIL)

                        1B - Dani Alvarez (WIL)

                        2B - Wilton Harcourt (VIR)

SS - Might be too close to call... can make a case for Delarruz, Summers and O'Hegarty... O'Heagarty gets on base the most and steals bases (leads the league), but doesn't hit with the same power and is the worst defender... Summers numbers are really good, but he doesn't produce as much because of where he bats in the lineup. Delarruz is more powerful than O'Hegarty, but doesn't have the speed. Tough.

                        3B - Josh Poling (VIR)

                        OF - Campo (WIL)

                        OF - Nago (WAS)

OF - Romo (WIL) or Nelson (VIR)

SP (RH) - Good luck here! You can make a case for Soto (my pick if pressed), Gugs or any of the Washington's Top 3.... tough call.

SP (LH) - Gotta be Magness (VIR) or Rubia (MOR)... not real deep in LH starters in the Stout this season.

Reliever (RH) - Doug 'Doughboy' Liggins (WIL)

Reliever (LH) - George McSwain (VIR)

                        Closer - Kenshin Krsnich (WIL)

                          Uchiyama vs. Elliot?
                          Krsnich vs. Lewis?

Could go either way on those. Probably still give Elliot the nod for defense and Krsnich the nod because he is all-time Stout.

I said you could make a case for 5 RH SP's... if pressed, I'd probably go Soto... but Gonzalez has been damn good.

I really don't think you can. Gonzalez has been the best SP in the IL, let alone the Stout. Look at the numbers.

But I think besides that, the team looks right.

But I can... I give the slight edge to Soto because I think that Gonzalez has feasted on the worst matchups. I can mostly go by my head-to-heads with each... and I know Soto pretty much owned me... Gonzalez... pitched well against me.... but... I know I've dropped at least a loss and a couple no decisions on him.
