Bit off-topic, but I hope OOTP9 has an easily accessible tab to track the changes in scouting reports on players. I'd love to know how much my scouts think a player has regressed or progressed.

They will. The expansion draft is set to the same day that players file for FA. So none of the FA's will be eligible to be drafted. I still need to import once more before the draft and I wanted to make sure none of you clowns made offers to FA's. You know somebody would have.

This is different from the Rule 5 draft. Putting players on your 40 man only protects them from the Rule 5 draft, which will happen in a couple sims.

For this expansion draft, you can only protect 15 players (plus another 3 after each round). Players drafted in 1982 and 1983 are automatically protected.

Yes, don't include upcoming Free Agents in your list. It would be a waste of a spot.

Jeff Frankin just signed a 1-yr ext through arbitration, if I offer an extension will its supersede the extension if its more, or does the extention start the following season?

On the offer screen, it shows what year the offers are for. Like if you choose 5 years, it will show each year and you can set the salary for each.

With the obvious assumption that you are protecting him, I'd just hold off on offering an extension till we officially flip into the '84 seaon/pre-season.
