I was reading an article this morning and, as of today, there are 130 players on Major League Baseball's Disabled List (DL). That's an average of over 4 players per team.

I know we think that we have way too many injuries... especially last season... but it really is in line with real percentages... if not way under. I think it just stands out more to us because (a) smaller sample size and (b) more big name players went down last year.

Just wanted to share.

Yeah I've always thought the amount of injuries are fine. I just don't like young players getting career ending injuries and I wish the injury time wasn't revealed up front. At first it should give you a range like 4-6 weeks rather than a specific injury time. I also wish there were more day to day injuries.

My only issue with Day-to-Day injuries is the fact that, in MP leagues, the week at a time thing often results in the dread Day-to-Day TO Major Injury issue.

If new versions of OOTP would allow us to have a setting that says like "ALWAYS SIT DAY TO DAY INJURIES" or something that would make that adjustment on the fly, I'd like it more. But there's nothing more frustrating than to have a guy get a 2-4 month injury in a sim and you look back and he got a small day-to-day the game before and then BOOM. You know.

Yeah its a fact... re-injury is very typical when you look at the longer injuries... they were often injured while playing hurt.

Playing at a diminished percentage, wether due to no rest or day-to-day injuries, will result in a higher chance of injury. I don't know if the severity is accounted for but the likelihood does increase.
