AP (<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Claremont, Ca.) -- The California Wildfire have called a press <?xml:namespace prefix = o />conference scheduled to start

at <st1:time hour="10" minute="45">10:45 a.m. est.</st1:time> in preparation for what many BLB league insiders believe will be the unveiling of

a new team name, and a new team uniform. When reached for comment, Wildfire GM David Lint

gave a brief statement to the media, "All I can say is we have some big plans for the future, and

tomorrow is the just the start of seeing those plans come to fruition." California, who finished an IL

worst 49-113, struggled mightily after many within the organization expected the team to be a

dark horse to contend for the Bock Division in 1983.

I always felt like the California Wildfire was a kind of grim name.

Already five minutes late for their own press conference. This is why California is the worst organization in BLB history. Rude sons-a-bitches!
