I don't know how much the Commish can edit in game, but it looks like team's like Carolina will need to have their Staff Expense edited back to $0 since he didn't get the Scout that I signed.

The funny part is, it says Carolina singed him for 4 years @ $250.... I actually signed him for 5 years @ $250... and Carolina was charged for the full value of the contract that I signed him for ($1.25 million).

The strange part is that Indy also tried to sign him and didn't get him... they also didn't get the Hitting Coach that it said they got (he went to manage AAA Memphis)... but Indy wasn't charged anything.

BTW - A quick touchdown dance because I called Bill Johnson and Dale O'Hegarty as IL Glove Wizard winners a month before the All-Star break.

First ever Glove Wizard awards for Virginia in BLB history.

McEvoy locking back up with Windy City throws a pretty sizable wet blanket on Free Agency. Not a lot of talent out there this year.

I don't care about the fine, I'm loaded. I'm more mad that I spent a lot of time organizing my minors, and that export didn't go through.

I really hate how acquiring coaches is handled.

That same Hitting Coach now in AAA Memphis was offered more money to be the hitting coach at Denver and I still knew that it wouldn't work out. There's no rhyme or reason for their actions. Just random.

Thank goodness OOTP9 is set to solve this issue by making the process similar to free agency.

They also need to fix the promotion issue. I'd like to bump one of my own hitting coaches but the only way I can do this is by releasing him and then hoping he'd sign with me. Hmmm, I guess I could do that since no one else would actually have a chance to sign him in that same export.

Yeah, we've argued a few times about how to handle coaches signings. The randomness is annoying, but I can't figure out if it favors any specific teams or not (I don't believe so). However, I do have a problem with being charged $1.25 mill. for a coach that didn't sign with me, on top of the money I got charged for releasing Dunlop after voiding his option. Hopefully we can edit those things, because the budgets for smaller market clubs is tight enough as it is.

Edit: Actually, I realize now that I fired my AAA manager to make a run at some other managers. I don't remember how much his contract was worth, but I'm sure I got charged for the remainder of it, even though I don't think the game tells you that. So, maybe that's not a bug. The option years definitely looks like one though.

I also signed Los Alamos' HC to be my bench coach.

Btw, I just noticed I also got a message that I signed Clay's top scout Yasini to a 250 a year 5 year deal... but the game also says he resigned the guy...

                          What's the deal?

And what team is he on?

I sure hope so, as it's one of my biggest complaints about the game. There's just no telling how it works. Sometimes it seems totally random, other times it feels like sometimes have all the luck.
