Sweep in Single A! Off to the finals!

In Double A we're down 3 games to 2 but we've still got a shot.

In AAA, we're 2 games back after winning 9 straight... and we're playing Silver City with a chance to pull even!

I enjoy what my Minor Leagues have done... too bad they can't pass it on to the big league club.

We went 5-2, so that's good. Unfortunately, both our losses were to Davenport, and we blew a 4 run lead in the 7th in one of them. So we don't make up any ground this week. Time is running out for us.

We lost Saul Soriano and Jesus Noboa to minor injuries that will keep them out 1-2 weeks. We may not have had major injuries, but we've been banged up all year. Luckily Cirlos will come back next sim.

Casimiro Cabezas gave up his first run (earned or unearned) since May 15. That sucks. Still, over 3 months without allowing a run is pretty impressive.

Huge sim...took 2 of 3 from Maine and pulled to within a game. The Millers aren't going away like everyone thought.

Dupuis will be back next sim also, finally ridding me of the shell of Arturo Arrigon's former self.

Ok, so it looks like we have a race in 3 out out of the 4 divisions. Not too shabby. I really really wish I would've made trades for pitchers, but it looks like I'll have to pound my way to the playoffs... no other real option.

The next 2 sims determine my fate. Games vs. Denver (I am 8-2 against), Los Lunas (5-7), Pittsburgh (5-7), Sin City (6-6), then finally Maine (5-7)... whew, what a stretch. I'm gonna have to get through that without losing too much ground; then my final 18 games are against teams that are all currently below .500. Wow, what a race!

I'm not making trades anymore. My team has tanked since I traded for pitchers that my scouts thought were better than what I already had. There goes that.

How do you take someone off the DL and make them active on the 25 man roster, without demoting someone else? Or can that be done? Both players are on the 40 man roster.

For some reason, I can't edit my posts. As you obviously know my DL people didn't count towards my 40-man roster. So my next question is, do you guys tend to put up-and-coming rookies on your 40-man roster after Sept. 1?

Remember only guys on the 60 man DL don't count on your 40 man...

                  15 day guys DO count.

Here's a stat for you. Baltimore: 45-41 vs. RHP 17-27 vs. lefties...ughhh. I need some more lefties.

Actually it's righties that you probably need more of. Or righties that hit lefties well anyway. Hitters tend to hit better against the other-handed pitchers due to the fact that they can see the release point better.

Well, medicore sim for me but my AA squad is up 3-2 in the playoffs. Hopefully, we put away Middletown. The big squad still is not putting up enough runs on the board, what else is new?

Clay's on fire with his predictions:
                          1) Beating Aurillo- 7 shutout innings later, not so much :)
                          2) I can't find the post right now, but I remember Clay predicting Virginia wouldn't be in the bottom 6 of the league.

                          Just playin Clay, keep rockin

Went 5-2, but lost 2B R.A. Grounds for two months. The division lead is still at 10, so again, just hoping to stay healthy.

At the AAA level, I clinched a playoff birth. At the AA level, I am currently up 3-2 on California.

I said Clay wouldn't pick in the Top 5. As of today I pick 5th (Expansion Teams are 1-2, Pawtucket, California, Virginia).... so basically I need to catch one team. Will it happen? Doubt it. But I'm probably playing less young guys in September than most other out of contention teams, so I can still make it happen.
