Waiver Trades

Just wanted to remind everyone of the Rules/Process on waiver trades:

• Waiver Trades
  • Players may be traded after the July 31st deadline if they first clear Waivers.
  • Waive the player normally in the game.
  • For each player, create a new thread in the Waivers forum stating the player has been waived.
  • Teams may claim players on revocable waivers in his waiver forum thread ONLY. If no thread exists you may claim the player normally in game.
  • Teams may claim players on Irrevocable waivers normally in game.
  • Once the player clears in game, the waiving team can negotiate a trade with the team that claimed the player and had the highest priority (Worst record) at that time.
  • Or if no claims are made, they are free to trade him to anyone.
  • If no trade is completed before the next sim the waiving team can either revoke the waivers or allow the claim to go through and lose him for nothing.

stu, does this process still apply? and if so, can we sticky this in the rules forum? i feel like i look for these guidelines every season after the trade deadline.

  • Players not on the 40 Man Roster and draft picks can be traded after the July 31st deadline without having to clear Trade Waivers.
  • Players on the 40 Man Roster can be traded after the July 31st deadline if they clear Trade Waivers.
  • To trade players who are on the 40 Man Roster:
    • DO NOT waive the player in the game.
    
    
    • For each player, create a new thread in the Waivers forum stating the player has been placed on Trade Waivers.
    
    
    • Teams may claim players in his Trade Waiver thread.
    
    
    • Players are on waivers for 48 hours (real time) after the thread is created.
    
    
    • If no claims are made during that time, they are free to trade him to any team.
    
    
    • If any claims are made in the Trade Waiver thread, the waiving team has another 48 hours to negotiate a trade with the team that claimed the player and had the highest priority (Worst record) at that time.
    
    
    • If no trade is completed within 48 hours (real time) the waiving team can either revoke the waivers or allow the claim to go through and lose him for nothing.
