This time 4 games out is a good thing. Picked up 2 games in the division with Davenport and Carolina all square at the top. 3-3 wasn't great but it was enough for now.

    Arce was awful!

Dunlop hits 3 HRs in his first week as a Tob, and we've climbed back into a tie for first place. Of course, he also is day-to-day. I swear my entire lineup is getting injured at the same time. Nino, Ochoa, Farelo and Colchado are also all out with varying degrees of injury.

Another series of games in which my offense couldn't get anything on the board. It's aggravating- I've probably lost more 2-1, 2-0, 2-1 games than anybody. Those injuries that wiped out my outfield at the beginning of the year hurt bad. Ramos and Noa were the centerpieces of my lineup. Oh well, hopefully next year the team will be healthier.

Don Stevens struck out 27 batters in his last 15 innings. Screw conventional wisdom, he's coming up now. He and Zander Tillman (my 2nd rounder from 1982) are coming up for the next sim. Both guys were mowing down guys in AAA and its time to give the fans a peek at the future. I'm excited but I don't expect them to do much. Two solid months in the bigs should hopefully get these guys acclimated. I feel like the frickin Devil Rays

Well, I can't talk about my majors, but here's a ray of hope. 18 year old SP Curt "Mudcat" McConnell moved up to AA this year, and hasn't disappointed. Currently he is 3-1 with a 1.29 ERA. More importantly, he is on a 31.1 inning scoreless streak (just a few unearned).

That's all from Hartford for now.

ballsy my man, ballsy. no offense and bringing up a 17 year old to face the wolves. I hope it works out for you... unless you face my team, in which case, i hope his ERA is 10.

              LOL

I don't anticipate the offense being much better next season so this is a good time for him to get used to no-decisions and close losses.

Nice sim for Mac Winson. I've been pleased/surprised at his decent level of BLB contribution so far, I was definately hoping for it. Outside of that, I can definately tell we're in rebuilding mode after this week.

Judging by how guys like Franklin and Tardif have played at the BLB level, I think Stevens can cut it. I'm psyched to see how he does.

Romo keeps hitting at the BLB level.

Alvarez keeps hitting at the AAA level.

Any idea the maximum number of games a player can play in the BLB before his first full season to qualify for ROY?

It's based on ABs (for hitters) and IPs (for pitchers)

SO are we all secretly not talking about what Aurillo is doing like how people don't mention no-hitters and perfect games in the middle of them????

16 and fargin' 0!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! 16 wins in 20 starts... and they are even winning the games that he's getting a no decision in. Really!??! Kid has 18 walks in over 140 innings.

                              My God. It's disgusting.
