While we weren't listed as one of the losers (which is nice), I'd say we should at least be mentioned in the winner category. Really, I don't think we gave up toooo much - the piece I hated to lose most was next year's first - along with near-40 year old 24 million dollars worth of Toby Rochester, Joe Cuevas and Tibaldi (both solid admittedly), and some cash. But with our budget this year, we could afford to spend it. In return we got two fairly high picks next year (3rd and a 5th), a serviceable if not cheap outfielder (Soleano from Maine), a former 1st round pick (OF O'Rafferty from Maine), and most importantly for us, two top 50 prospects in #49 1B Mac Winson (Los Al) and #37 SP Clarence Nicholson (Maine). We also picked up SP Martin Roundtree from Maine, who is currently in AA and our organization really feels good about. Although obviously it's going to take some time.... we gave up nothing we are going to regret and rebuilt our future, which I feel really good about.
