I think we've traded away enough.

If there were a line on it in vBookie, I would lay a couple bucks on Wilmington catching Washington this season.

As crazy as it may sound, Wilmington has a better schedule the rest of the way. If they can win the head-to-heads, it may be a September dogfight.

Over the past two months, we've been 6 games better than Washington. Even if I finish in second or third, which is highly likely, I'm very satisfied with my team this year. After trading Robbins and Dealba, our goal was to play .500 ball. It looks like we might achieve that. Anything better is an added bonus since we're already focusing on next year.

I'll probably shop Romo or Alvarez at the deadline, or in the offseason, for a BLB ready pitcher. Alvarez has 11 HRs in his short stint at AAA Myrtle Beach. He should be ready to step in next year. Of course, moving Romo to the OF is also an option.

I'm shocked at how quickly he progressed. I could've held onto him for next year but I did get 3 quality players for him (including 2 good pitchers) so overall I'm happy with what I got. He would've been stuck at DH as I have Melgoza (who should be the DL ROY...yes, that's a plug) at 1B.

Yeah, I thought he'd be spending next season at AAA, but he's starting to knock 'em out at AAA this season, and my scouts have him getting closer to his huge potential. With that said, Romo's a pure hitter. I have to find a spot for him in my lineup.

                              Dig a little deeper.

Washington - playing middle of the pack baseball for 2 months. Even Wilmington has been 6 games better. A lineup filled with the underachieving Lamberts, Taracena, Grounds, Lippincott, Hogan, Rogado...

Hyundai - tough spot for them. No money, very little prospects. Pitching has been sub-par, and Denver and Sin City both improved.

Pittsburgh - played lights out baseball for the first two months...and still couldn't shake the Guides. I expect Maine to start to run away with it from here. I could be wrong, though.

Los Lunas - 7 games back, and they couldn't decide if they were selling or buying. Obviously, he thinks his current team is good enough to climb back in it. I don't.
