Henry, how do you feel about Skerik's departure?

I think "Hank Fat Wallet" is what finally drove ownership out of town.

Remember when Clay took over Virginia, and he kept saying, "WTF was Giggas thinking?", "GIGGA-sized contract!", "Why would you sign this guy for this much money?", etc.

I think Elprez is probably going to be saying things like, "WTF? Henry Stafford?", "Graham Tandy, four years, $100 million?!?".

              Should be fun.

It was actually the GIGGA sized ballpark and the inexplicable decisions to sign 20 year olds to long contract before they even hit arbitration.

But, yeah, Elprez has an uphill battle.... but it's really only Stafford. Tandy still has some value. Plus, at least he has pitching.

Yeah Kellum comes off the books this season and he still has an enormous budget. He definitely has some chips to play with.

Nothing compares to the shape Acid left California in. Terrible major league team and terrible minor league system.

Speaking of which... do we have a history somewhere of all the Owners by team? That would be interesting.

And I still think VA was rougher than CAL. My team was bad too... I had bad contracts.... plus the ballpark had to be fixed.... plus I was in a stacked division... I was screwed.

I still think California was by far the worst take over. You had talent, a decent history of winning, a huge budget, and some decent young prospects. California didn't have any of that.

Maybe so.... I won't argue about the better tasting turd.... but I miss the talent and decent prospects. I do have money.... but no one good would ever sign with me.

Well you had Oyos, Nelson, Bertetto, Cafferty, O'Laughlin, Salcedo, Quinterro, Haughey...right?

                          California had.... Delclos?

LOL, an "uphill battle." Yeah. One of the better pitching staffs in the league, along with a budget so enormous that he could sign another 5 Henry Staffords next season if he wanted to. Man, what a mess. But I guess the fault is mine for letting the CPU sign Kellum to his initial contract when the league started, not realizing that Stafford would completely forget how to play baseball within two years of a season in which he hit 38 doubles and 14 HR, and that Tandy would completely turn to shit playing in a hitters' park one season after posting a VORP over 60.

Anyway, enjoy the league. I know you're all crushed that I couldn't stick it out, especially Andrew who didn't even respond to my message saying I was leaving. Maybe I'll come back when they fix the jokes that are OOTP's random developmental system and ridiculously drastic season-to-season variance.
