Get Gorrie and Velunza back, and lose Delarruz for 8 months. This game sucks. I quit.

Well the first week of my minors went pretty well. I have way too many minor league pitchers though.

Clay: Seems you have a Franklin or Tardiff on your hands with Magness... just a sick first week... move the kid up already!

Neither us or Maine can shake one another...I think this is the 3rd straight sim that we've been tied for 1st.

            Rex Knight...

            That sucks.

He should be ready for next year though. So I guess just think of it as a contract hold out.

Wow, lost Dupuis for 2-3 months. Fantastic.

On a lighter note, Jim Coker has quietly been having an awesome season. I've been playing him as my every day LF and it's paid off. He's hitting .287/.392/.558 with 10 home runs, 29 RBI, 7 steals, and a .950 OPS. I bet Clay wishes he had him back.

My goodness, its getting pretty depressing right now with how bad my team is. Injuries have eviscerated my team and I have absolutely no depth.

I just moved up Don Stevens to AAA after he had a great week. The guy was just striking out guys at a ridiculous pace at AA and his ratings seem to be progressing nicely. I mean, he lead AA in strikeouts by a fair margin at AA. Still a bit apprehensive about putting a 17 year old in AAA, but oh well. My scouts think his ratings are around 5s and 4s. I moved up my 2nd round pick, MR Zander Tillman, to AAA as well.

The next sim should be fun.

Definately pleased with the very early returns on my high draft picks....

The Skull (1.1) had two starts - A 6-0 win where he threw a complete game shutout, scattering 6 hits with 1 BB and 4 K's -- then, 5 days later, he goes 8 strong with 5 hits, 1 ER, no walks and 4 more K's. I'll take it.

Jerry Tracy (1.6) hit .391 with his first bomb and 6 RBIs before getting a slight tweak that put him out for 3 days.

Gene Bland (Sandwich Pick) had a stellar first outing with a complete game 5 hitter where he submitted just 1 ER. I do however, have a bit of an issue with Bland. Due to the sandiwch being missing in the game, he got officially drafted in the 16th round which kills his popularity. A guy taken with the 25th overall pick, should not be an Unknown by this games usual standards. I just hope they add the sandiwch properly in future versions.

Anyway... long story short... pleased with the first sim for the draftees... but it's just one sim.

BTW -- Linty.... I'm just going to hold onto this broom. Cool?

You might need to share it with every other team in the IL... but sure, I won't be having a need for any brooms for a long, long time. That is, unless I need one to knock off the dust of Tim O'Fay sitting on my bench making 8 million a year getting four at bats a sim.

Well that's partly my fault. Goodwin is a pitcher that would never sniff the Majors... He's only there because of injuries and the fact that I don't want to put any promising players in the hell hole that is the California Wildfire. I'll probably release him once everyone is healthy again.

Goodwin got 2 of the 3 outs that inning... I'd be far more concerned with Mr. Fitts Double-Double-Double-Single-Triple open in the inning.

Delarruz - 8 months for back spasms? WTF?

The injuries in this game are retarded.

                              That sucks.

He should be ready for next year though. So I guess just think of it as a contract hold out.
Wow, I hadnt checked the game before I read your post. Ya, that does suck about Knight. Damn. Hopefully he'll be back in time for next year, but i'm not so sure he will be.
