Looking at the pitching options makes you realize how ridiculous the overall league numbers are. 14 starters in the IL with an ERA well under 3. lol.

              Virginia Colonials
Martin Carlton (CL) -- Being the closer for the Colonials is not an easy gig. With the sheer volume of games that Virginia is either blown out or the piss poor bullpen blows, Carlton's opportunities are few and far between. That being said, in the 19 games in which Carlton has appeared, he has been fantastic. He's converted 100% of his save opportunties and currenty has converted over 25 consecutive over the past two seasons. He has only surrendered 2 runs all season while only walking 4 hitters. His ERA of 0.96 has him among the top Closers in the game.

Dale O'Hegarty (SS) - The rookie 23 year old leads the team with a .288 BA, plays a rock solid SS and bangs out extra base hits with the skills of a much more experienced player.

              Fringe:
              Wilton Harcourt
              Danny Nelson

Both have piss poor BA's, but they are putting up offensive numbers
              The Great One!

              To many rings to count...

                Wilmington:

                2B - Charlie MacCabe
                SS - Joe Delarruz
                3B - John Handley

                P - Joe Nevereia
                P - Kenshin Krsnich
                P - Doug Liggins

I'd say that's about it. Handley is the second best 3B in the IL behind Nino. MacCabe has arguably the best numbers of any 2B in the IL. Joe Nevereia started the year in the pen, and was moved to the rotation after Lacour and Dealba were dealt. He has been outstanding, putting up incredible numbers. I hope he can keep it up.

*Public service announcement from the desk of David Lint, GM of the California Wildifre*

Please do not vote for any California players. None of them deserve to make the team.

Thanks for your time. Also don't forget to come out to the ballpark on Friday as we hold the weekly give season tickets away promotion. It's been three weeks and we still have not had a winner claim their prize... so show up to the park and you'll likely win. Please.

I only have really one quy worth voting for on my squad

22 year old closer Joe Sanabria- he was only recently elevated to the role of closer and has been damn good. A lot of the closers in the DL have a bunch of saves with not so elite stats but I think Sanabria would be up there with any of the league leaders if my team won some games :) He was exceptional in middle relief prior to coming to the pen.

Anyway, Sanabria has a 1.10 WHIP, averages more than a strikeout an inning, and hasn't blown a save this season.

                    Thanks for your consideration folks!

I feel silly for voting for Joe Sierra at 1B in the IL. I must of completely missed Joe Truex on the ballot. The guy has really turned his career around. Back to back all-star games. Although I miss the guy, I got two decent pitching prospects for him... and he wasn't going to help turn us around any time soon so I'm glad he's tearing it up in Philly.
