Are people recieving all of their messages or is it just me that is having a problem? I receive a couple each sim but about 2/3 of them are blank.

When I scout a team I should get a message back from the scout indicating who he thinks are the top 10 players on that team and also the best prospects but I do not. I know the scouting is being done but I've never received the associated messages.

I'll look at this today. I know in the previous sim, I simmed 21 days and only included messages from the last 7 when building the league file. In the last sim, all of them should have been included though.

hmm... i thought it was just me. i have that same problem. And it's not the most recent sim... I've had this problem from the very first sim. I just never really paid much attention to it b/c I was much more focused on my team.

It's because the league file creation only includes messages from the last 7 days. This is by design to keep the file size down.

I have blanks too, in the news too.

It is critcal that this problem is fixed before we add hidden players at the beginning of next year. As far as I know a message from your scout is the only way to learn that a prospect has been found.

Also, I definately had numerous blank messages from the latest sim so at least as far as my setup is concerned the problem has not been fixed.

a blank message means that the message.dat file thinks there is a message there, but when the game searches for it, the message isn't in the file.

one way to fix this could be if the commish posted a zip of all the messages he has on his computer.

I don't know how big this file would be, but it should fix the problem.

I just wanted to point out that all my blank messages are from 11/12 - 11/21, and some before that at the end of October.

Are these dates consistent with every one else? if so, then we can pinpoint the missing messages.

:) I included all messages in the latest league file. It didn't really change the size that much. The problem last week is I didn't hit the 'enter' key to apply it after changing it from 7 to 21 days.
