It seems like a good strategy would be to always have somebody scouting the entire BLB, that way you're up to date a couple times a year.

Sorry to do this to you, but I've been mulling it over for awhile, and I'll reconsider. I just need to look at my team and see if I can make it not suck within a season or two. Too bad my game went screwy on me, I had over 50 million to spend but my game wouldn't update even after downloading the file 4 or 5 times.

The scouting thing doesn't bother me. Just throw your scouts to scout the entire BLB during the offseason. Once that's done, it'll be a month or 2 into the season. By the time they're done scouting, the rookie pool will be published. Put the scouts to the rookie pool. Once that's done, re-scout the entire BLB to get up to date scouting on the upcoming free agents. The season will be over and the scouts will be done. Repeat.
Like I said, the scouting doesn't bother me all that much. Although I do fail to see the point of it. It'll give a little more in depth into each player and you can have different scout's opinion on each player.. but what I think the scouting will add is the ability to find hidden players, which we are not able to do anyway.

I think what scouting adds is player evaluation in general. Rather than everyone seeing the same ratings and having the same opinion, we'll be going off our individual scouts.
I think this comes into play most during the draft and during trades.

Just my two cents.

Originally posted by AndrewI'm hoping it will let us turn this on during the pre-season.

As for your game install, have to ever considered doing a fresh install of your OS and basically starting from scratch? I don't know how your computer is set up so it might be much more difficult than it needs to be. But the way I have mine set up, it's really easy to format the C drive and start over. All my backup data is stored on a separate physical drive, so all I do is reformat my C drive and just reinstall a few programs and I'm back up and running in a few hours.

1. Don't like scouting
2. It's something that you've been thinking about for a while now
3. Are unsure if you can have a competitive team in a few years, thereby meaning you should ditch your team
4. Your league file hasn't been working for a few sims, but you never mentioned it until now.
So, my post was a mere reference to the fact that every post the reasons change, and in my feeling the chances of you leaving in the middle of the season if your team is losing is in the high range. This thing isn't my life, but I'd like to play with people that want to play and have the want to stay as long as the league is successful.
I guess that makes that my four cents worth
