  • Millers Out

I'm just not a big fan of this scouting thing. It adds a large amount of unnecessary work for GM's to do, work that Mogul leagues and other OOTP leagues do perfectly fine without. So far it's just taken the fun out of the game for me, so that's why I'm resigning. It's a great league with great GM's, but the scouting has "turned me off". Hopefully you guys can find a good replacement soon.

I kind of saw this coming, although I'm still disappointed. Make sure you unlicense the game on your PC, since you're using my extra code.

To do so go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel ->eLicense Control and you should be able to unlicense it from there.

If anybody knows of people who are interested, please send them my way. I'm getting a little bit sick of recruiting. If a couple more owners go MIA, we might have to consider contracting to 16 teams.

Also, while we're looking, I'd appreciate if people would let me know they're dropping out before giving up on their team.

Hmmm, that's too bad. SOrry to see you go. Well I hope we can find a replacement, I'd have if we'd have to contract.

            I'll look as well.

It is a shame that people don't want to take the time to learn this scouting system. It adds so much to this game, and I personally LOVE the challenge.

It wasn't the scouting. Not trying to throw him under the bus but he's only exported once in the last 10 or so sims. He was very active when we first started but hasn't been over the second half of the season.

Ok, well, I guess i'm glad to see that. Although it is sad that he stopped being active.

In my defense, most of those times I didn't export because I didn't have to make any changes. A few of those were missed though, I admit. I unlicensed my game for you though, so the code's free for you to use again.

That's more than a bit disappointing.

Personally I'm not a big fan of it either but I'm going to give it a chance. I really enjoy the league and look forward to the sims. Right now I spend about 30-60 minutes on sim days working on my team. I feel like I might have to spend more time than that and I really don't have that much free time to spend on it. I'm hoping once I'm done scouting everyone it will go back to the 30-60 mins.

I think it can be a bit overwhelming at first but once you get into a routine it should drastically reduce the amount of time you spend scouting.

You know you can assign your scouts to scout an entire league or team, right?

You don't have to manually scout every player, unless you need ratings that day, like for FA's. Other than that, assign some of your scouts to scout your own organization and the BLB as a whole.

                          Also, scout the minor leagues.
I'm not an expert, but I have used scouting a little, if anyone has any questions, let me know.

Yep, I have my guys spread out. 1 doing the entire BLB (92 days I think!), a couple doing organizations, 1 doing mine, and a couple doing just BLB teams. I know I'll get there...just hope I'm not constantly having to send my guys out to scout after I get everyone scouted.

well, unless you want different opinions, you don't have to scout BLB teams and the entire BLB. But, I'm assuming that you want to have a couple different opinions from your scouts.
