I'm just an island. Everyone wants to change things, and I am the one who votes against. Then when I think we should change things, people say they want to talk about it and go slow.....then they don't talk about it.

I may dissent, but always go along with the majority decision. I just don't do the back room politicking thing.

I don't want to get in a huge argument about the rules but I think what Clay said is partially true (even though he was joking). People only seem to care about the rules when it benefits or hurts their team. It's difficult trying to be an impartial commissioner and create rules that are as fair as possible for everybody. It's even more difficult listening to people complain about it constantly.

I don't think he was singling you out. There have been previous owners that would complain about something when it was convenient for his team.

I start to get pissed off. I have a pretty thick skin and don't mind discussing rules at length, but these comments are insulting to the amount of time, thought and effort that I put into this league.

For the record, minus the dramatics to say that I only vote for rules that benefit me is factually incorrect. I believe I was one of I think two people that voted AGAINST draft pick compensation. I think I've benefited from that rule as much if not more than anyone.

The only push I made was earlier in the year for the cash in trades thing to be revisited, which I was actually invited to do BTW if you remember. I made my pitch, nobody wanted to move on it, and I moved on if you remember and traded two of the best players on my team. I didn't scream up and down.

I've been here from day 1, and I have not always voted in the best interests of my team, but what I thought was right. I've said on several occasions what a good job Andrew does both publicly and IM. But to fault owners who are trying to make their teams better is just wrong. If that's the case you're better off playing SP against the CPU where it will live by your wishes.

And just for the record. My, "That Sucks" comment about the 30 player limit in Minor leagues was just a comment as in, woah, that sucks, because I for some reason was under the impression that injured guys didn't count.
