    Terrible sim for me

I got swept by Indy :( Damn you chippered LOL

Anyway, the musical chairs in my rotation continues as I continue to look for one of the young arms to step up. Also, in two weeks I'll get back 2/3 of my original starting OF from the beginning of the season.

Oh, Lamberts injury was pretty funny- he tore his meniscus playing fetch with his dog. This is a pretty funny year with injuries. First the house burglary and now this?

When did the wiffle ball league learn how to pitch?
A nice 0.28 ERA and .104 opponent average. Would have been nice if he didn't get hurt and miss a start last sim.

I particularly like the way he showed up at the press conference red faced.

I think the Lamberts injury has a Brien Griese "I tripped over my dog in the driveway" feel to it. Get that guy a breath-a-lizer.

Great sim for us this week at 5-1. I believe this is the first time I've had two offensive players and two pitchers on the performances list as well. This winning thing is kinda fun. One game over .500 for the season.

                  Here's a few to-do things to do before 1984

Hire another BLB scout. Not required, but still, nice to have a full set of scouts.
Figure out how the hell Scout Chris Herschel has been signed for next 255 years.

You have no head scout in AAA

Figure out how to get some pitching
                  Maybe call up Billy Noke
                  Maybe call up Garret Malvern

but hey... what do i know.

As for scouts, I hadn't hired anyone cause the ones out there are terrible, but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

As for pitching, the only two guys I can send down are Puerias, who is my best pitcher to date and Gill, who I wanted to see what he would do in the BLB. His current ratings met his potential so I figured I would give him a shot. He hasn't done well so far.

So I would basically have to DFA or release a SP to bring up Noke, who hasn't been great in the BLB anyways.

As for Malvern, he'll probably be up soon, but see the problem above. Also his control rating is only a 2 currently, I would like to see him get that up before he is called up. He also had a bit of a rough year in AAA giving up 90 walks in 110 innings. He'd get eaten alive in the BLB.

I am calling up George Pease in MR though since he's definitely earned his shot.

It's your team, and I'm not trying to tell you how to manage YOUR TEAM. If I were in your shoes, I would've never signed O'Loughlin and MacAdie. Too old. I'd also start shopping Eires and Stiver. By the time you're ready to compete, Stiver will be retired, and Eires will be in the twilight of his career. No sense in keeping them around now, start rebuilding.

It also doesn't help matters that the commish is in your division.

After last year going .500 and in pretty good shape $ wise, I thought I would have a decent shot at competing this year after adding O'Loughlin. Obviously that hasn't turned out so well.

My strategy is obviously changing after this rough start, but who is going to be able to take on Stiver's contract? Half the league is in the red already. There's about 2 places he'll be able to go, so we'll see.

With MacAdie, there's really not much harm, he's not costing a whole lot and is on a vert short contract.

I think Davenport provided the perfect blueprint for rebuilding. Obviously, though, he had a lot of talent to trade away, thus maximizing the return. His farm is stacked, and he has some nice young talent at the BLB level. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much money to work with, so his franchise's existence will be aconstant cycle of rebuilding for a couple years, followed by contending for a couple years.

There are a lot of teams in the red, and there isn't as much money in the league like I thought there was a couple seasons ago. The contracts are only getting bigger. I have 2 guys on my roster now that will become FAs at the end of this season, and likely draw somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-15 per on the open market. I don't think our budgets are matching the inflation we're seeing with salaries.

After looking around at some front offices. I'm shocked at how far in the red some teams are. If people are intersted check the trading block in the near future.

Edit:Stiver has a mutual option for next year, so he's very little risk to someone taking him as a rental.
