I'm very happy with my team at this point. I know that sounds silly since we're the defending champs, but we lost two key players, and had two others suffer severe injuries. All in all, the hitting has been good, and the pitching is coming around. Robbins is struggling a bit at the plate, but John Handley has been a pleasant surprise at 3B.

          1st place in May?

            Well, you asked for him.

Tardif threw 7 innings, giving up 0 earned on 4 hits while striking out 10 and walking just 2. Oh, he also hit his first ML home run! :D

Wow, we're somehow still above .500

I get back big slugger, big K man Tim Monk who had a knee injury sometime in May last year after he got off to a hot start. We'll see if it carries over.

My top pick from last year, Don Stevens, pitched 9 1/3 innings in his last start. He's progressing quite nicely. He and Zander Tillman will likely move up the ladder together.

My FA relievers have been doing nicely- Botting and Velasquez have done all that is asked of them.

Nice. This guy is gonna be a beast.

As for me, slowly creeping back to the thick of things. 5-2 sim, only 2 games back. Man, our division is gonna be tough this year.

We are filing a grievance with the league that Handley can be given the "Newcomer" of the month award despite having been playing off and on in the majors since 1980. O'Hegarty will reclaim what is rightfully his.... OH YES.... he will.

We still kinda suck. Won a series from Windy City.... whopee... still can't win in the Stout. I'm like 5-6 against the Bock... Stout is killing me again. Come on 1984!! I use to think it was for the wildcard.... but I just want out of the Stout now!!

In the meantime, I've decided to start making BLB baseball cards. So far.... I have one...

5-2 this sim but didn't gain any ground. We have the best offense and pitching in the DL. Just need to start winning some of these 1 run games.

We get Kirby back, friggin one day left on the DL, which in our world means a week! We aren't a potent lineup, but our guys are underperfoming. We'll see if Kirby helps. Our pitching has been as good as always.

But our Minor league is kicking ass. AA and A are both in first with a lot of great talent in the pipeline with more coming via this years draft. I knew we'd take a step back for a year or two, but lots of help is on the way.

Still, the highlight of this sim...

Did you make that in Photoshop? Have a file you can e-mail or post somewhere for download where we would just need to change the image for the player and their name? I'd like to make a couple for my guys.
