Much better sim. 5-1. Hitting came around, pitching is still suspect.

28 straight scoreless innings (and counting) from Akira Abe to start the season. Gotta love my rotation so far:

          Abe: 3-0, 0.00
          Drewery: 3-0, 2.42
          Delclos: 2-1, 0.37
          Carpenter: 2-1, 4.00
          Santos: 3-0, 1.35

            4-2 this sim.

Joe Chavarraga struck out 17 in 8 innings against Windy City. Wow.

BTW, I've got the worst pitching staff in not just the IL, but all of the BLB. How in the world can that be possible? We suck!!!

                I think that's a BLB record.

In one game, Joe recorded more strike outs than any pitcher on my entire team has gotten this year.

As if things weren't bad enough. Let's see, Braodbridge out 8 weeks, Erswell out 8 months. Yep, it's M.A.S.H. time again. So, about those Minor league teams....

With the worst record in the IL, it might be hard to swallow but I like my team's start. Sure, I wish the wins were coming a little more readily, but we've played 8 one-run games out of 16 so far. We need to learn to win a few more of those close ones. It will come.

I still think I'll get more out of my bats down the road... Fortin, Arce, BJ and Just have really done nothing so far this season. They should come around.

Highlights of the first 10% of the season:
-- Danny Nelson regaining some of that '79 boom in his stick (knocks on every piece of wood around)
-- O'Hegarty looking like he was, in fact, ready to play in the show
-- Bullpen, while still pretty damn bad, has at least shown some flashes
                      The Great One!

                      To many rings to count...

I think my next two series, one with Los Lunas and the final 2 games of my Denver series, will help my decision on whether I'm for real or not. My first 15 games weren't against the greatest teams in the league.

5-1 sim for my team, so I'm happy with this week. My pitching has been great so far, hitting is still nothing more than average. I don't know what's gotten into Rayford Winchel to start this season, but I hope he keeps it up.

My bullpen had a tough start to the season but now it's locked and loaded. Rugamas has been a great addition thus far.

I can't believe I'm 10-6 despite getting zero production out of 2B, CF, and Catcher all season.
