I said that wrong.... I realize they get Major League contracts.... but isn't the real rule that you only get charged the 50k?

Technically yes, but the in game system doesn't work correctly when you return a player. IRL when you return the player they would go back to their minor league salary when they are sent back down. In OOTP once they have that BLB contract it's there for good. Why should another team have to pay a guy a major league contract when they weren't the ones that gave it to them?

The whole process needs to be ironed out for next season.
