  • Question: Middle of the lineup?

When a player wants to be in the middle of the lineup... do you interpret that as 4-5-6 (the actual center of a 9 man lineup) or the more common 3-4-5 - which would technically be the middle if you don't think about the pitcher in the 9 hole. I guess I've always assumed it was 3-4-5, but I am questioning that now.

I consider all of 3-6 to be the "middle" of the lineup, but I guess that's not an option.

I have a couple guys who have no business hitting in the middle of the lineup expecting to be put there. They don't get what they want.

I only consider 3 and 4 because of Buzzell and Gremades.

3-5, but knowing OOTP, its probably 4-6 since they took 9 players probably divided it by 3 with little understanding.
