Since my ML team is so sad I'm happy that I at least won the AAA championship! Hopefully that is a sign of things to come. All of my minor league teams made playoffs and I pulled off one championship so I'm happy wit that. Looking forward to next season with a lot of young talent coming up to the majors.

I went 5-2 this week, all but locking up the Ale division. Every game was decided by 3 runs or less and all were pretty low scoring. My pitching staff seems to be coming together and Corrigan continued his domination, pitching a CG shutout with 15 k's in Thursday's game vs Los Lunas. He leads the DL in ERA now and is making a strong case for the Pale Ale pitcher award.

          Ouch, 2-5 this week.

Now, my lead in the division is only 4. This isn't good. Someone's going to pay!!

Not a good week for the Tobs, 2-5. I thought we were starting to come together, so its disappointing even though we were pretty much out of the race for a while now.

I'm trying to work some of the youngsters into the lineup since the rosters have expanded. It's too bad my best AAA player happens to play the same position as one of my best young guys in the majors. 3B Joe Martiez tore up the AAA level, .349 with 17 HRs and 92 RBI, but Vincent Nino is only 22 and he led the Tobs in almost all the power categories as a rookie. Too bad neither plays another position.

You can teach players to play another position in Spring Training by playing them there a lot.

EDIT - Actually I think it works during the regular season as well. I only have 1 1B on my roster so I ended up making my backup 3B, my backup 1B as well even though he didn't have a rating at 1B. He now has a rating, although a very poor one. I'm assuming with more experience he'll get better.

I thought they would've expanded and I wanted to do the same thing but I don't notice any other guys available in my line-ups from my 40-man roster that were in the minors...am I doing something wrong?

You need to actually place them on your active roster. You'll notice instead of the limit being 25 on the active roster, it's now 40. Anybody on your 40 man roster is eligible to be called up.

Back in business in Windy City. 5-1 this sim, back up to 10 game lead with 20 left. Time to start chilling the champagne. McEvoy continues his tear and is the only 20 game winner in all of BLB right now. That's 16 games in a row without a loss.

Now the bad news. We lost Jorge Lorral for 7 months. OUCH. As our fifth starter jorge was 10-5 for us this year. Cobellan must step up now for the stretch run. He and Hernandez will decide who will be the forth starter for the playoff rotation.

I just realized that we lost slugger Bill Fallon, the BLB's HR leader, for 5 weeks. This couldn't come at a worse time with the Guides gearing up for the playoffs.
