  • SIM #25 COMPLETE

I moved the 2 invalid waiver claims back to their original teams. They are currently on waivers but for our purposes have cleared. They aren't eligible to be claimed, but are eligible to be traded.

    DO NOT CLAIM:
    Rick Mariote, Maine
    Martin Robinson, Philadelphia

5-2 this week for Maine, holding onto our 6.5 game lead. Teagan Corrigan is making a push for the Pale Ale Pitcher award. In his last 4 starts... 4-0, 33.1 IP, 19 H, 5 R, 5 BB, 36 K

Just trying to hold on. 3-3. The good news is that we finished August 16-12, still .500 every month. But we start September 0-3 thanks to some beat downs by a team 17.5 games out of 1st.

We can't hit either. Like not at all. It's pitching or nothing. I just hope it's enough.

4-3 this week, didn't really make up any ground. We did finish 19-9 for the month of August, our best month of the season, and I think that might have been the best of any team this month. The young guys are starting to figure it out :D

Good to see our closer Cabezas agreed with my extension finally. I've been trying to sign him for a couple weeks now. Couldn't afford to lose him.

                More injuries.

I swear something has to be done about the amount of injuries in this game. I have only had two sims this season where some type of injury didn't occur.

                Incredible.

                  (2) two-week injuries to the 2nd best starting pitcher on my team within a one month period.

                  (1) two-week injury to the one of the league's best left-handed reliever.

Another two-week injury to my starting 3rd baseman (just as he was heating up).

Multiple week long injuries to my relief corps.

Now another injury to my defensive back-up (and believe me, I need defensive help).

Well, I can't seem to make any ground on those damn Maine Guides. He goes 3-4, I go 3-4. I go 5-2, he goes 5-2. Only positives I see at this point.

                  1. I have a far "easier" schedule coming down the road. However if I don't make up any ground this coming sim I'm in trouble.

                  2. The Whalers were able to sign possibleaward winner Neil Hildebrand to a 5 year extension for about 3.75m a year. Not bad for one of the top 3 producing guys in the league.

I think the Fung Wah might be more appropriate.

This does suck, but I don't think it is a problem with the game because not everyone is having the same ammount of injuries. It is probably extremely bad luck.

On a good note, the Javelinas are still in first place, 7.5 ahead. And things are looking good.

I think it probably has more to do with the fact that you have an older team. It seems like the younger teams havn't been hit as hard as the older teams. It is bad luck that you've lost so many impact players though.

Injuries are set to "low" under the current settings.

Why, whatever team could do that to the mighty Playboys?
