Baltimore takes 18-year-old 2B Ivan Garcia at #9.

Garcia doesn't hit for power, but does basically everything else. Gap power, good glove at an important defensive position, keen eye and quick on the basepaths. Good leadoff hitters are hard to find and we think we've found a future one in Garcia.

    NEW ORLEANS DUKES since 1993

I'm not sure what's going on with the time. I'll add an hour to the pick time so hopefully that helps.

The clock is off somewhere with the utilities as a whole because the Export Tracker is always off a couple hours for me as well.

I think that's because my server is on MT. I'll keep an eye on it tonight to make sure the waking hours are correct. At this point I'm not sure if it was adding and extra hour or taking away an hour.

Just a heads up I left my draft xls on my home computer so I can't pick until 3pm EST when I get home from work.

Love the Garcia pick. I was blindly hoping some how he'd last a little longer.

I like Garcia, too. I had him behind Knight, Brown, and Tracy.

No worries.... we're officially on "Z Time" right now... so you don't need to rush.

                      • I almost went with Garcia, but my needs are much more evident at 1st. Oh well...

                        • Toby Heller is another guy I like. I'm surprised he lasted until 10, but I guess the guys from 3-9 needed offense. Good pick, Z.

                          • I need offense too but Heller's too good to pass up. Not only can he pitch, but he looks like one of the few workhorses in the draft as well.

My scouts have him at the biggest boom or bust pick. Very tempting, could be a major stud, but has some potential to bust as well.

                              • That's interesting. My scouts aren't great but they were pretty convinced in his potential. He's just a kid though so we'll see.
