        • Ontiveros is a great pick. I know someone in the top 10 was considering taking him with their pick.

Damn, I swear I remember seeing $8 million at one time, oh well.

            • went with the best guy available. a MR who can't help out for a few years... but hopefully I'll win without him for the time being.

              • I was pretty happy to get Knight at #3. I only had one scout who rated him "badly", and if he ends up fulfilling that promise, I'll be happy. That being said, he's somewhat raw, but still quite young, as he'll play the entire season at 18. Cant wait to see how he does this year.

                • Sorry, thought I had it on auto pick when I left the house, I guess not. My pick is in now.

Agreed, I really like Ontiveros. Averaging out the talent ratings of my scouts, he comes out as the #2 hitter in the draft. If he had fallen one more pick, I'd have taken him at 15 probably.

That being said, I'm very happy to get Shawn Gates at 15. I wasn't sure he'd still be available at that pick. My pre-draft list had him at #8.

                      • Just took a good look at this draft.

I think this might be the weakest class I have ever seen.

I'd say its the oppisite. I think it may be the deepest draft we've had. There's a bit lacking at the very top 1-2 prospects compared to previous years, but there's a lot of good guys I like.

I was also tempted to draft that reliever and turn him into a starter.

                            • I really liked 4 of the last 5 picks...

                              3B Iván Ontiveros
                              SP Shawn Gates
                              SP Lanny Krieger
                              LF Dane Browning

I was really high on all of these guys and they were on my dream list of guys to fall to #25.

2B Cristián Sánchez, I like, but he just wasn't on my radar.

I had all the above ranked ahead of Sanchez. But I tip my hat to the other owners, nobody's let anyone slip.

Perez I had rated as the best middle infielder left on the board. Good potential for contact and power and a great eye. Not a defensive wizard, but potentially one of the better hitting middle infielders in 7-8 years. I REALLY wanted Ontiveros.

And I think Diesel you're high. This isn't even close to being the worst draft class. Not a ton of stars, but lots of depth with quality guys that have some breakout potential.
