Pick is in, went with 3B Ivan Ontiveros,, he's 20 years old which is good and seemed to be the best hitter available.

I was pretty happy to get Knight at #3. I only had one scout who rated him "badly", and if he ends up fulfilling that promise, I'll be happy. That being said, he's somewhat raw, but still quite young, as he'll play the entire season at 18. Cant wait to see how he does this year.

That being said, I'm very happy to get Shawn Gates at 15. I wasn't sure he'd still be available at that pick. My pre-draft list had him at #8.Washington Bats, 2013-

Just took a good look at this draft.
I think this might be the weakest class I have ever seen.
I was also tempted to draft that reliever and turn him into a starter.Last edited by mahoney2; 01-17-2008, 07:48 AM.

I really liked 4 of the last 5 picks...
3B Iván Ontiveros
SP Shawn Gates
SP Lanny Krieger
LF Dane Browning
I was really high on all of these guys and they were on my dream list of guys to fall to #25.
2B Cristián Sánchez, I like, but he just wasn't on my radar. The Great One!
To many rings to count...

Perez I had rated as the best middle infielder left on the board. Good potential for contact and power and a great eye. Not a defensive wizard, but potentially one of the better hitting middle infielders in 7-8 years. I REALLY wanted Ontiveros.
And I think Diesel you're high. This isn't even close to being the worst draft class. Not a ton of stars, but lots of depth with quality guys that have some breakout potential.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS
