Problem with crashing

The game keeps crashing right before it's done updating everything from choosing the update online league file. I just watched it and it crashed right after it updated the messages. I just downloaded the game again from SI, re-installed everything, downloaded the league file but it still crashes. Any ideas?

Also, Andrew, is the league file download current? I don't think it is since it will let me update. If you have a chance can you please post the most current file so maybe I can download that & export without having to update in game?

The file is current. It uses the same file that the in game download uses. Try downloading and unzipping it manually and you should be all set.

That's really odd. When I first bought OOTP8 the game crashed constantly on my system, but thankfully after some use, the game finally came around and it stopped crashing. I hope the same happens for you.

Do you have enough space left on your hard drive? Mine will crash if I don't have enough free space.

I wonder what's going on then because it doesn't look like it's current. If I export would you be able to see if my file is current?

Not free space...I have 38GB available on this drive.

This happens to me every single time, always at the messages. You just have to wait a longass time for it to finish. Even when it goes completely white, just leave it running and do something else.
