No penalty but feel free to ask me during the draft if a player was actually moved.

Well I'd like to throw this out there...

I'd like to remove Cortez Barrerra off my 40 man roster before the sim... can he be made available to the Rule 5 draft? Or will he just be a waiver claim?

If you waive and DFA him, he is eligible for the Rule 5 i think. As long as he has less than 6 years service time.

Barrerra screws me again! 19 years of service time makes him a little too old.

I think we should eliminate this thread starting next season. There is no reason why teams can't set their 40 man rosters in the sim preceeding the Rule V Draft. It makes if difficult to research the draft since we can never be sure at any time what the 40 man rosters actually are.
