Right, Bradley B put it much more succinctly than I managed to do in two or three tries.

I am really not sure how it will work. It could be that the salary suggestions that the players will make are actually generated during the sim with OOTP 8 and not at the time the "offer extension" or "offer contract" options are chosen by the GM using OOTP 2007. If this is the case Spot is correct and there is no issue.

I have heard that Markus was working on that one but had to give up after determining that the technical difficulties were insurmountable.

Funny, I heard it was simply a case of user error.

I don't think the contract thing is an issue because when is the last time a player ended up signing for anywhere near what they were asking in the offseason???? I think that "demand" during Free Agency is completely useless. It would be a far bigger concern in resigning players during the season.

Yep, seems like Clay is on point with that observation. Free agents always get bigger deals then what they ask for...

That's an understatement in fact... most FA's that are involved in any type of bidding get 5x what they ask for.

Right, it is not a problem with regard to free agnecy but may be in resigning your own players. I am just suggesting that it is an advantage to know that what a player is asking for in contract negotiations is not the result of some bug.

Well I got my email today for this. For 7 bucks I think it's worth it. Especially if the commish is gonna do it.

I think I'm going to pick it up, just so I can get a second install for my laptop. I hate just having 07 on my PC.

I have it installed and have been noodling with a solo league. I have not done my online sims with it yet however. I was planning on waiting for Spring Training to do that (which will be Monday).

                          What's wrong with Monday?

I'm pumped for spring training to start!

I installed this last night in order to test out the re-signing of players. Everyone of my potential free agents or arb players all had the exact same demands in OOTP8 as they did in 2007.

The game is a hell of a lot faster than 2007 though.

Damn, having it run faster would be worth the $7 dollars alone.

I have a 1.2ghz iBook G4 with 1.25 gigs of ram and I'd say that OOTP 8 is about 20% faster at least than the old version.
