  • SIM COMPLETE - 1982 - Regular Season 11

    Next Sim:
    - Thursday, 11/8

    Reminders:
    - All-Star votes are due by noon ET tomorrow.

    Notes:
    - Los Alamos and Wilmington should check their minor leagues. I had to shuffle some players between levels because your A teams were over the limit.

A Complete Game, 4-hit shutout for Manny Hernandez in his first pro start.

      Is nice.

6-1 with a 6 gm winning streak, we have a 5 game lead. What's funny is this is probably the worst year we've had as far as numbers, but somehow we're winning. Maybe w/out the hype we'll become a real team.

Damn, I thought I cleared out enough room at all levels...

          Sorry, Andrew.

Season fading away quickly, we're just awful. Might be time to start selling.

this sucks... but Cali came back to earth this week. We had all division games this week and blew it. In fact we had a chance to take the division lead against Windy City but they swept us.

Still got a few years before we get to where we want to be.

Sorry Andrew. That was an oversight on my end, I'll be sure to keep my eye on that...

Don Stevens won his first start and was decent his second start. 14 strikeouts and only 4 walks in his first 15 professional innings :)

As far as the BLB level, well, I'm an expansion team!

Jud Graham has thrown nine shut out innings in two starts to start his career. Sadly he's only thown 50+ pitches in both starts... I'm worried you guys may be right about his endurance. But even if he was a four endurance he should be throwing more than 50 pitches right?

Not sure how/if the editing of news in a players HISTORY works, but if Andrew or the Phils owner is interested... Pedro Eires hit his 150th career homerun on 6/21/82 against Pittsburgh. I know the 150th isn't a milestone that is captured, but he is the first BLBer to hit that number. Also wasn't sure how the edit history worked, thought it was something to try. Maybe put something like:

"6/21/07: Became 1st Player in BLB History with 150 Career Homeruns"

FYI: Russ McEvoy (96) and Teagan Corrigan (94) should both his 100 wins this season too. Should be a race to be first.

4-3 this week which isn't great but the rest of the division seems to be falling off. Corrigan lost 2 games this week because of no run support and I still gained 3 games in the standings.

Not that anyone feels bad for me, but it will be nice to have my whole lineup together when Sanchez comes back. Fallon, Subaru and Sanchez have all had 1-2 week injuries and we haven't had our normal lineup in a month.

Seems like the division leaders all widened the gap this sim. Wildcard can't come soon enough.

There aren't any buyers - ask Clay. You have the only second place team with more than a remote chance of winning. What's gone wrong this year - injuries, ratings hits, players not performing up to their ratings or something else?

I'll see if I can edit the history on him since he's my own player. The thing that strikes me is he has hit 150 and missed a good portion of last season. He's gotta be close to the all time lead in strikeouts as well with a solid 639k's. He's like Adam Dunn at the plate.

I think things are finally turning around in Pawtucket. A solid 5-2 sim and I'm in 3rd place for the first time since like 1978.

Only the commish can edit the player histories and have them stick. I tested that in another league.
