Please don't rely on just the stats from the utility when voting. They don't show the whole picture.

    Rules

    - Voting will run from now until Noon ET on Wednesday, Nov 7th.
    - Manager picks are due by 9 ET on Thursday, Nov 8th.
    - The All-Star game will occur in Thursday's sim.
    - You have to vote for 1 player at each infield position, 3 OF's, 5 SP's and 5 MR's.
    - The stats will not be updated after Tuesday's sim so for those who are waiting to vote please check the in game stats as well.
    - You need to be logged into the All-Star Utility in order to vote.
    - This voting will select the starters and some of the reserves.
    - There is a DH in this years All-Star game. For the DL there is a section to vote on the DH. In the IL the DH will be the position player with the most votes who isn't voted in as a starter.
    - Ties will be resolved by the appropriate league's manager (Andrew for the DL and liquidcrash for the IL)

    Coaching Staffs
DL: Andrew, BradleyB (Denver and Los Lunas managers from 1981 are both gone, so I took the next highest record in the DL Lager)
    IL: liquidcrash, Sully

    Rosters
    28 players total that include:
    - 9 Position players (includes DH)
    - Top 3 SP's

          Yup.

I'm not voting for him, but I was surprised to see John "The Tank" Brown's name on the DH list. Can't believe this guy is still playing.

jeez, no one to really pimp. I guess i'll do the yearly "vote for Harry Keppel because he's the only really good player on my team"

He missed 21 games, but is already #1 in VORP in the DL, hitting close to .400, won the batter of the month for May. Hitting out of his mind right now.

#2 in saves in my closer Joe White. Only 1 blown save all year.

Rumsey is showing that at 38, he's still a force to be reckoned with. 7-4 with a 3.46 ERA, averaging 7+ innings per start, still striking out 7+ batters per 9 innings. Is he the best of the DL this year? no, but he could sure use some votes.

Question: If I have an All-Star (yeah right...) and then trade him, who gets the bonus?

I have Quinterro (should be a no brainer AS) and Bill Johnson who could make the team and may also both be in other unis by the end of the season.

The guys have a great season but has missed 1/3 of the season so far. So I'll pimp Pedro Eires, 20 HRs, 50 RBI already.

While I'm here I'll also take the time to pimp C Malachi Stiver. He's the best catcher out there, except for RBIs. I can't really blame that on him though since the two guys in front of him are scared to get on base.

how cool is it that my entire starting staff was nominated for a shot to be all-stars this year?

I could make a case for almost all of my starting lineup...but here's who I think could realistically get the nod. Dieter at 2B, Sato and Shinamius in the OF, Joyce and Geake SP (and O'Connelan could easily be thrown in the mix).

Ruth could have made a push for 3B if he hadn't gotten injured a few sims ago. Lumar is putting up good numbers, but there are better catchers out there. Deel is a solid DH candidate. MacCutcheon is buried under Keppel and Gremades, but is having a stellar year.

Only a couple guys from Cali I want to pimp...

Alan Starr -C- He's the stats leader for all C's in the IL, secondly I got this guy off free agency after he was passed over by everyone these last few years. Third, my park is a pitching park, and the guy is still putting up great numbers.

Joe Truex-1B- I know he really doesn't have a shot, but if you look at his impact on my team you could make a case. Add that to his OPS which is second among IL first basemen and his 13 bombs and you can easily see why I love the guy.

Joe Viret-OF- This is the guy I really think people should take a closer look at. His stats are well above average for a CF, plus after I have inserted him into the 3 spot he's been killing the ball. He just lost his 27 game hit streak this past week and add in his SB's and solid defense he plays and I think he makes a solid choice as an IL all-star.

What about Huxham? Highest VORP among DL 3B not to mention he only has 4 errors compared to Grandon's 11 and Buzzell's 17.

So I get to make 7 picks? Cool.

For the Tobs, I think Parangao and Cabezas should easily be in, and Ghaniy should merit some consideration.

                              dammit, i forgot about him.

                              Vote Huxham!

Actually, i was only pimping my fringe guys. I think 3b will go down to Huxham and Grandon of Los Lunas; so it's pretty much a toss-up.
