Oh man. Whalers rookie second baseman Norman Binns, the 11th overall pick in the 1978 amateur draft, doubled home a run in the fourth inning of a loss at Maine, but suffered a career ending fractured knee sliding into second base. His Brewers League career comes to an abrupt end at six games.

In other news, the Freedom move into sole possession of second place in the Stout. Unfortunately, top catching prospect Giovanny Sapiara, acquired last year from Denver in the Harcourt deal, suffered a tremendous talent drop and is now a long shot to ever make it out of A-ball.

Just noticed that, for the first time in BLB history, the Millers have a top 100 pitcher. Woowaweewa.

Sad news on Binns. Former 1st round pick, who was showing something at AAA.

The Bats continue to struggle. They better wake up or I'm going to have to be a seller at the deadline.....yet once again.

I wonder, in real life, how many major league quality players that young have suffered career ending injuries. I can see older players but it seems like there's very few injuries a player wouldn't eventually be able to come back from.

Juan Boladeres apparently has your number. 2-0 with 11 strikeouts versus 8 baserunners in 17 1/3 shutout innings.

                  Yeah, I saw that.

I wonder if there is something in the game that has players "remembering" where they were traded from. Like...he hates me, so he gears up to play the Bats.

3-3, again. Just treading water at this point, I have no idea how I'm still in the race. Last year we won with timely hitting, pulling out close victories. This year we lose most of those games it feels like.

Damn, sad to see "The Entertainer" go down like that. It was tough trading him away, but I always wanted to see him do well.

As for me, another 3-3 sim, pretty much out of the race at 11 games back. Need to start getting younger.

I'm saying now, that Eneas Monterola is now available for trade. Like usual, youngsters and/or draft picks.

I don't know. There is no wondering what power a Commish has over his rival teams young and upcoming players...

Another miserable SIM. Nothing new. Leonardo Quinterro just continues to be a diamond in the rough though. He wins again going 10-3 on the season - the best in the BLB.

Even with their hot first month and recent month I still sit 6 games back of the Gamblers.

For a Denver team playing basically .500 ball I consider that great position.
