Not that he's any good but:

From the moment it happened, it was clear that Joe Escobio's injury was serious. The Patriots second baseman suffered a fractured knee while running the bases. For safety's sake, Escobio was carted off the field in a stretcher. The initial diagnosis was bad and the follow-up assessment at the hospital was even more grim: Escobio's career is over.

      5-1, lead up to 7.

Carpenter with the only loss this week, go figure.

cooled off a little bit the last couple sims....of course, this happens just as Los Lunas starts heating up. still holding the 3 game lead though, hopefully a healthy dose of expansion teams will help curb the slide, especially with a big week against maine and the whale looming.

Horray, another major injury strikes my farm system as Rayman Minnoz goes down with a herniated disc in his back.

3-3 for the week. I can't complain. Havne't had a losing week in the past 3 weeks. Plus my minors are all either in second or first place. Things may actually be looking up for the California organization.

Bonus: We're not in last place anymore either!

Damnit! 0-6 and lost MacAdie for 3 weeks and Jim Coker for 2 months.

Andrew... I was just kidding about being a Rockies fan. Damn. That's just wrong.

He's been injured every year, granted not seriously for awhile, but injured nonetheless.

He's been hurt every year.... not injured. In 78, 80 and 81 he had a day-to-day injury for a week - played in 154 games (or more) in each of those seasons. I guess, bottomline, he's been on the DL once (1979). All in all, considering that he was 34 when the BLB launched, I'd call him healthy.

He was not hitting well this season anyway... maybe he'll come back refreshed.

I just can't believe how unhealthy my team has been. Sargentini hasn't played yet... Nelson missed time... Mac's gone now... Coker won't be back till the All-Star break.... now even my prospects are getting hurt in the farm system....

I'm really going for that "lovable losers" thing.

It looks to me like your goal is to win the AAA championship again this year. Aren't the Rams playing .850 ball or something like that? Maybe it is time to get rid of some of those guys on your BLB club that don't know how to get the job done with the game on the line
and rely on some of the minor leaguers who do. Of course that would probably cost you that AAA title that you seem to covet.
