  • SIM # 17 COMPLETE

All Star teams have been selected. The All Star game will be on the Tuesday of the next sim, with no games on the Monday or Wednesday.

Do people prefer if I do the All-Star game in it's own sim, or would you rather I just sim it like a normal week and get right back into things?

We'll be on break until I return from vacation on the 20th. The sim might not happen until the morning of the 21st.

        Interesting all star selections.

        Wilmington - 5 players
        Washington (1.0 back) - 4 players
        Baltimore (3.5 back) - 1 player
        Virginia (5.5 back) - 4 players
        Philadelphia (19 back) - 2 players

So despite a 45-42 record, I land one all star. And Pete Kellum, batting .385/.475/.619 with 17 HR, 49 RBI and 59 runs scored, isn't selected because he's hurt.

        That all makes perfect sense.

                    Four guys made it.

I'm surprised. Latham has had a torrid two weeks and Kubota is doing well, but I didn't expect the other two to make it.

I guess it pays to lead your division (no matter how slim) at the break.

You're right, that was wrong of me.

I forgot that in addition to trading your two All Stars for crap, you would likely also include massive sums of cash in the deal to get people to take them off your hands.

5 players for Maine. It looks like the CPU just arbitrarily picks the starters. Since we have a week before the game, is there any interest in voting for the starters?

Not only do I think we should vote for the starters, but it would be nice if we could vote for the entire teams in the future as well. One league votes for the other's team, and vice versa. This method merits consideration since a few of the choices, in the IL at least, seem to have been chosen by a drunken monkey throwing his fecal matter at pictures on a wall.
