He was on my list, but I'm thrilled to get Clarence Nicholson. I didn't expect to get a quality SP at the end of the 1st round.

Yeah, I was also considering Nicholson with #21 but two of my lesser scouts were not too thrilled by him, while all my scouts had Arellano as the best hitter left.

I'm happy to get Kirkpatrick and Melendez with my two picks, I wasn't sure either one would be available when my picks came around. My top prospect is already a catcher, but I couldn't pass up Melendez, assuming my scouts are right about his talent.

With my drafting history, they will both be busts.

Just a reminder that the time for each pick in the 2nd round is 4 hours and will be 2 hours in the 3rd round and after. Now is the time to start using your preference list if you're going to be away from your computer for awhile.

Remember to turn on your auto pick by selecting On or Once and clicking Save Usage.

If they have players in their list, I just take the top one.

If not, I have a 2nd copy of the league file with the draft re-scheduled for the current day. I then follow along, entering all the picks in that copy. When it gets to the team that needs to be auto picked, I "Act As" their team and use the "Head Scout Recommend" option. So it's basically the team's head scout selecting the player. Not completely random, but definitely not ideal.
