      Awesome.
Yeah. Not only my draft picks but also most of the UDFA's my scout saw as starting potential, now thinks are complete scrubs. Yay.

In other news, after the OF Dave Robinson trade, the "Meet The Team" section now has my best player as 22-year-old rookie 3B Donnie Benoit. He has 37 BLB career PAs. We are terrible.

I didn't think losing would be this difficult. Spear, you deserve a medal for staying with the "Process" for so long. We haven't even hit the All-Star break and it's only getting worse.

SP Joey Guess and IF River Shiffman were claimed on waivers.

Guess had been a spot starter against good lefty match-ups over the past three seasons and this year was given a full-time role. He's got a good fastball and cutter, he's durable and has pretty solid intangibles but he had been angry all season and was the player rumored to have "off the field curricular activities." He's headed to his first year of arbitration and even if he is only making $430k in 2021, I think I'd rather find someone to pay just $280k.

Shiffman had been shopped all season and no takers. Just saving the $100k+ is worth it to me.

Once you've got a load of prospects with potential, your attention will turn to their development. That's half the fun of rebuilding with a bad team.

I actually have less love for players once they hit the BLB. Gotschall is now expected to perform. There's no more hope. It's make it happen.

4-2 Week for the Sharks to open a 5 game lead with California for the #2 best seed in the DL.

Willie Salazar will be a Shark for the next 6 years worth it $105M, our fan interest jumped again, which make us happy.

D.J. Barnard brought home the DL hitter of the week award which is his 6th mention so far during his career since HS. Barnard is enjoying his best season so far leading off against RHP, stolen 7 bags already, he is also leading the team tied with veteran C Gault with 2.2. To finish is also 2nd of the team behing power hitter Danny Gomez with a .434 SLG %. Really glad to find this production out of Danny Romero´s sucesor in the 2B position.
Talking about the $20M man Danny Gomez he did hit for the cycle this week against NO, a single, a double, a triple and a Home run. Enjoying a fine year contract, we really have to think about extending him one more year before Dave Murphy is ready and fully developed.

In the minors 1B Dave Murphy still hitting with a fantastic pace in AAA, hopefully he will be Danny Gomez´s succesor in the long term, with great defense, contact, power and being a left hitter he looks the perfect 1B for our park. He still only 20 years old and we might need to extend Danny Gomez one more year, find a cheap bridge option, or move Salazar to 1B for the next season but hopefully Murphy´s development will continue as he is...

3rd Round pick RP Rex Crowder stuff rating by our scout jumped to 7. The 17 years old reliever now is listed as 7/6/5 in potential, pretty much a great closer, and his local popularity jumped to "fair" already... Let´s see how the young hurler evolves, but so far is looking good with this first rating jump

Finally got a chance to see if my draftees took hits.

The leaps did. Which is fine. Though some leaps from last year took bumps.

Banda took a 7 to 6 contact hit. But 6 is still good and it doesn't concern me. I always figured the 7 was super hopeful.

Considering what I saw jump in my last year guys, I'm not too concerned about what happened to any of this year's guys.

Is there a way to get out of the mobile version? I keep hitting "request desktop site" and it's not working, and the mobile layout is horrible. I miss the old forum lol

4-2 and we might actually be a good team. For some reason, Khalil Watkins hates my team. It seems like he has singlehandedl beaten us 3 or 4 times.

Can you name offensive star not named D.J. Gosser on Baltimore's roster? No? Yet somehow, we are tied for the IL lead in runs scored. I really like the way this team plays and outside of our 2001 Championship squad and 2006 Playoff squad, this team is quickly moving up the ranks as one of my favorites.

The Bats went 4-3 this week, with all of our games coming at home. We're in 4th in the Stout, which looks like it'll be a dogfight all season. Still in striking distance, but not comfortable by any means.

We blew one game in the 9th inning, made one 9th inning comeback, and lost an 18 inning game.

Geoff Yonke looked well-rested after his week off. He hit .455 with a 1.304 OPS, 3 HRs and 11 RBI, capturing IL Player of the Week. We'll be looking for more of the same because other parts of our lineup continue to struggle. Tom Roseboom has been a bright spot in his rookie year, doing well at the plate, ok in the field and leading the IL in stolen bases. I think he has a shot at being a star, but only time will tell.

Every week we seem to have at least a couple guys go 2/20 or something similarly terrible. Nick McLaughlin started several games since Israel Morales is now gone, and went 3/26. He'll most likely go back to his role as part-time starter and defensive specialist. Szeto Mao had a really good June, but it doesn't look like that was a sign of things to come, he went 2/23. The lineup still needs some tinkerin and perhaps another deal of some kind.

The Development Report was a mixed bag for me. Some of the new draftees saw ratings hits, but I also some some velocity bumps from several pitchers. For the most part, the hitters I selected are off to good starts, so I'm not going to worry too much.

Lot of my guys took hits but Stokes actually went from a 7 to 6 in control but improved his stuff from a 5 to a 6 so I can live with that. Perks, a reliever in Iowa City, was the only other player who had an improvement.
