Not bad for a player NO ONE drafted.

Don't put this on me. Dude had ratings of 544.

        Have you seen the Pilots?

No wonder Pat is still waiting for the All-Star games.

Happy with the draft results with two top 50 prospects, DeGennaro and Branscome; of course with 1.1 and 2.1 we should have gotten that no matter the new OOTP 17 grading system.

In the bigs... I can't figure out this team. On paper we should be near the bottom of the league, but we sit at .500 this far through the season. Maybe Webber is that much of a game changer.

            The Week in Review

A 4-3 week that saw us even out our series vs. Philly with a 5-0 win, take 2 of 3 from Batavia at home, and losing 2 of 3 in NY.

-Right now the talk of the town is the performance by 31 year old reliever turned starter, SP Dusty Threatt. Dusty threw 8.1 shutout innings before allowing a few guys on base that the relievers couldn't shutdown. I'm actually surprised Dusty never got a chance to start during his time in Denver. However with our injuries in the rotation, Dusty got his chance and didn't waste showing that he has some ability.

-SP Jerrod Blick looks like he might be turning the corner into that #1 type that my scout projects him to be. He's not the fireball starter normally found in Baltimore but more of the surgically precise pitcher. In his last two starts, he's gone 2-0 with a 0.60 ERA and just generally looks like a guy who doesn't get rattled after a few hits anymore.

-OF Jonathan Morales hit a home run on his first at bat in a Baltimore uniform. He went on to go 3 for 20 for the rest of the week. His defense is still stellar but I'd like to see a bit more when you are hitting in Phillips Field, Johnny.

With Washington adding Yonke, it will be an even tougher climb going forward. However, we are already about two years ahead of schedule anyway so playing as well as we have so far is just icing on the cake.

4-3 for the Brawlers this week. Pleased that Jacob, formerly known as Josh, Stokes premiered at #34 in the top 100 list and McClellan came in as my #2 catcher behind Wesley in our organizational chart.

Can we move the deadline to the Friday sim so that we can have the July re-scout before finalizing cuts?

Why don't we just rename Dave Piekarski Ray's Shadow and just be done with it.

These two players will proably be on the hall of fame ballot together and some new owner is gonna say "Who the hell is Dave Piekarski?"

Considering Dave Piekarski will be inducted as Marshala Piekarski, I can understand any future confusion.

The Top Prospects list seem to love CFs now. Every one else seems to get a "wait and see" approach, but if they can play CF they go right to the top of the list.

Gil Banda can play CF and even already has a 5 in contact. Plus OSA put him on their top 10 list pre-draft. I thought he would be overrated but he's not even alive.

He should've changed his name to Alistair.
