We had a tough first three days out in California, where we lost both games at the Kodiaks' place and the Friday night opener against the Dinos.

But we won all our other games.

This recap is cool. I don't know how much of it was intentional:

    Calligan Leads Maine to Win
Maine right-hander Tom Calligan was sensational in shutting out the Los Angeles Dinos, 7-0. Maine has a record of 17-15.

Calligan, a native of Citrus Heights, California, was dealing all game. He kept Los Angeles hitters off-balance, while giving the Guides 6.2 quality innings. Calligan threw 103 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 9.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Calligan.

As the recap noted, Calligan is from Citrus Heights, which ... isn't that close to Los Angeles, but it's a hell of a lot closer than Maine is.

Bonus post for a special note.

The fans in LA on Saturday night got a treat.

      http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...e_box_395.html

43 year old former Pale Ale winner Fernando Hernandez dueling 35 year old former Pale Ale winner Pat Yahn.

Quality starts from both aging aces, longtime rivals in the Domestic League, perhaps facing one another for the final time.

Hernandez edged Yahn, who seems to be fading quite fast by the way. He's no longer hitting triple digits and is only striking out five hitters per nine innings.

I never imagined Hernandez might outlast Yahn, but it now looks possible.

We claw our way back to .500 with a 5-2 week. Split a two game series with Carolina, took two from Baltimore, and took 2 of 3 from New York. Very pleased with this week. Especially pleased that we showed some power this week by hitting at least a home run in every game except one and had 5 in one game against New York. I think we are might be a better team than the preseason predictions pegged us at and I'm hoping this early season play will continue. Just need to the pitching to warm up like the bats.

Each year one of us makes a fantastic move to turn his franchise around. Last year was JJ, this year Delandis is impressing me so far...

Crap O.P. Williams has a Chronic Back pain issue and will be out 3 Weeks... This is going to hurt... Who will replace him at CF? And who can get the 4th OF Role with guarantees?? I don't have anyone ready in AAA

I wonder if Managers can go to the HOF as players do...

Martin Nigo has been in Dallas since 2000, when he started as a Pitching Coach, then he was promoted to Manager in 2016 and is been in the play-offs every year since, winning a Ring and 2 Manager of the year awards...

Sometimes I would like to make him my Assistant GM as a price for his great career and promote one of our Coaches with Excellent upside as a Manager to run the Dallas Franchise... But he is so good that I want him to run my team forever

In the era of #alternativefacts anything is possible.

Break out your transposition decoder ring and everything will be ok.

Thanks for this comment because I really thought it would be at 7 ET. 10 ET makes more sense and gives me more time to make sure my export works.
