- LIVE SIM was a great success. Thanks for stopping by to those who did. For those who didn't make sure you request a Slack invite from Z or I. It will definitely be used for Playoffs and other big SIMs if possible!
- Draft goes live tomorrow Tuesday 2/14 AM. The 2020 BLB St. Valentines Day Massacre.
- Note the SIM time was moved up a little to Wed PM.
- WPA has been uploaded and will be available on the Box Scores now
- Hopefully the release issue has been fixed. If anyone is still in limbo please let me know so I can release them for you. Check over your Player Salary page and make sure no one is getting paid that you thought you got rid of.
Your team is really good. I think they win the IL this year walking away.
I was freaking out because I couldn't offer $1 toward extensions for 2021. I talked with Pat about it. The moment I moved Garnett to DFA and waivers in-game, it freed up roughly 25 million for me to spend towards 2021. I don't get it. I was still on the hook for Garnett because the trade hadn't been processed yet.
Seattle Skipper Cook Blasts Media Over Bad Press
Saturday, May 9th, 2020
Pilots manager, Elijah Cook, had some choice words for the Seattle media today. "Whatever happened to journalistic integrity?" the Pilots skipper asked during a live radio interview. "No one cares about reporting the facts anymore. It's all about sensationalism these days. All you guys care about is selling newspapers and driving up ratings. And I'm getting pretty damn sick of it." Cook seemed to be referring to recent stories that have suggested the Pilots struggles as of late have been the result of off-field distractions.
One article, which accuses Joey Guess of numerous "extracurricular indiscretions", has been a particularly sore subject for Cook. "What players do on their own time is their business, but to imply that any of my players aren't giving it their all on the field is absolutely ridiculous," Cook said, "and to make these kinds of accusations against someone without any proof is just plain irresponsible!"
Team officials had no comment when asked about Cook's remarks.

That's worrisome. So last year I could have DFA'd Combs and freed up $20m, then resigned somebody. Nobody wants Combs so now I'm -$40m in debt.
I smell a new rule. No DFA'ing to free up money in order for contract extensions. We'll have to do a little research on this.

It's something to look into. My budget was 110 this year, but the game was only allowing me a budget of around 86 for next year, so that was odd as well. I couldn't negotiate at all with Yonke because of it. I deal Garnett, place him on waivers and DNA for the pre-set, and now I can suddenly offer Yonke an extension.
Back to nearly 0.500 after a 5-2 sim. Considering Morla and McGee were virtually non-factors, for the week, it's hard to complain.
I still can't see why my attendance has plummeted 15%. Season ticket are way up, we have a lot more fan agreeable players, and we are playing better ball, but the fans continue to stay away...

Not a bad sim for the Bats. We stumbled out of the gate, losing both to Los Alamos, but rebounded nicely to win the next 5. A big comeback win over Denver to start it off hopefully has sparked something for us.
JP Lawrence got a chance to start, because the game says that he can. That went really poorly and he's going back to the bullpen.
My lineup did show some signs of life. As we all expected, the infield combination of Sullivan Smart and Wook-jin Lee is powering my team. I eagerly await the return of Turnbow, Schneider, Morales and the rest of the guys from their month long nap.
As it stands, I've got surplus pitching. I could give up one of my starters - maybe CJ Thompson - for lineup help. Still open to ideas on that front, but definitely looking for an impact hitter.
On the farm, I'm very pleased with my top hitting prospect. Kevin Langford is hitting .386/.432/.554 in his first month in AAA and has climbed into the top 30 on the Prospects list.
