Carlos, squid, anyone else in other OOTP 17 leagues, can you speak as to whether this issue is one your other leagues encountered?
I've noticed the release issue but never like this.
Two of my leagues don't talk about DFA at all. The third I think fines teams for it. I think. I know the commish fines teams for being over the minor league cap or signing players to illegal contracts. I'll check on the DFA rules. But I bring that up because I haven't noticed any issues there either.
Having said all that, I haven't really had players in DFA the way I ever do in BLB. The structures of the leagues I think make it very different.
It would make the most sense if you hadn't updated because you're running the sims. It's less clear why the exports of one person who didn't update would break everyone else's exports.
I'll add this, I knew there would be a DFA issue because the way the game handled the releases when I did them was very weird.
I selected release player and the player disappeared. There was no confirmation asking me if it's what I really wanted. When you play a game for so long you know how things work. It seemed off.
I'd been noticing similar when I mass-selected players to be released. I'd either click release or drag them off the roster, but no confirmation that they were going to be released. But, they showed up on my transactions log and shown as free agents, so I'd assumed they were gone.
I've released them all one by one now, and gotten a confirmation message for everyone. So, my DFA is looking clean now.
